Allen Sanders Kent, MD is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on personalized patient care and excellence in surgical and medical services. Dr. Kent was a student in Fort Worth schools before leaving for undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin.
After his years in Austin, he continued with the University of Texas system by heading to Houston to study at the University of Texas Medical School at their Health Science Center. He followed medical school with an internship at Herman Hospital in Houston and completed his residency in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Kent has not only served as a Lecturer and Presenter for a number of specialty organizations but he is also an Author of a number of publications and papers. Among those are: “The Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery” presentation for an audience of Family Practice and Internal Medicine physicians and “Cervical Spine Fractures Associated with Ankylosing Spondylitis”. That paper was presented to The Alamo Orthopedic Society early in his career.
Board Certified in 1973 as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he moved back to Fort Worth to open his practice. An active member of a number of professional organizations, he has hospital privileges for surgery and medical care for orthopaedic issues at the following hospitals:
